VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Volunteer Board Opportunities are available for students and members. These positions are non-voting, but attendance at Board meetings may be required from time to time. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these roles, please contact membership@armaedmonton.org


Elections & Transition Manager

ARMA Edmonton Chapter Board of Director elections are held annually. Terms of office are consistent with the fiscal year and run from July 1 to the following June 30. Elections must be held prior to June 30.

Each term of office is normally one year. In order to prevent complacency and introduce fresh ideas and approaches, we hope to fill this role with someone that loves to think strategically and proactively.

The election is conducted in accordance with the ARMA International Edmonton Chapter Bylaws and any applicable legislation, using the Roberts Rules of Order. This position will work with the President and President-Elect to make sure the elections run smoothly.


Event​ ​Planner

Planning events can be very rewarding and provide opportunities to take a lead using project management skills and communication skills.

This role will work with the Program Director to handle planning and event day logistics for our monthly ARMA Edmonton Chapter programs. You will have the opportunity to work with all portfolios to ensure all information needed to manage the events is captured and disseminated efficiently.


Newsletter​ ​Editor

Are you a skilled writer and love creating informative and creative circulars? This role may be a perfect fit for you!

Working with the Communications Director (or designate) the content of the newsletter, if published, is determined by the Editor in consultation with the Communications Lead. Compliance with copyright laws and privacy rights is mandatory.


Records​ ​Manager & Archivist

Would you like to apply your education in a non-profit setting? Consider volunteering for the role of ARMA Edmonton Chapter Records Manager/Archivist.

You will be managing the life cycle of Chapter information from capture to disposition, including the return of records at the end of the board calendar year.

This position works directly with the President and President-Elect.


Social Media & Marketing Liaison

Seeking a talented and creative person to manage social media content of the ARMA Edmonton Chapter accounts. As this is the main point of information, for members and non-members, this role will take a lead to ensure the right information is available at the right time to stakeholders.

Reporting to both the Communications and Marketing Directors, you will be responsible for refreshing information on the Board’s social media sites and identifying opportunities to make them better!


Website​ ​Manager

Seeking a talented and creative person to manage the content of the ARMA Edmonton Chapter website. As this is the main point of information, for members and non-members, this role will take a lead in ensuring the right information is available at the right time to stakeholders.

Reporting to the Communications Director (or designate), you will be responsible for refreshing information on the website and identifying opportunities to make it better!
